Film Screening & Photography Exhibition

β€œIs it a crime to take photographs?”

Abul Kalam is a Rohingya photographer based in the refugee camps of Bangladesh. He was arrested and had his camera taken by the authorities at the end of 2020 whilst documenting the forced removal of refugees. He was never charged, but his camera hasn't been returned.

His photos will be exhibited at the Four Corners in Bethnal Green, accompanied by a screening of The Rohingya Photographer, short documentary by Anna Snowball and Abolfazl Talooni, between 25/4-29/4, with a free launch event on the evening of the 25th.
